Chip Golf helps golfers find courses, ask for tee-time help, track rounds, scan scorecards, manage a golfer profile, and play group games.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, optional phone number, golfer profile details, messages, feedback, game information, wallet activity, and scorecard or round details. A phone number is not required to create a Chip account and is requested only when you choose to provide it or when a specific feature needs phone contact, such as order delivery or tee-time follow-up.

With your permission, we may use location information to find nearby courses and support course-aware app features. If you submit a scorecard image or other photo, we process that image to provide the requested app feature.

For in-app purchases, Apple handles payment processing. Chip Golf receives purchase and transaction information needed to validate purchases, update chip balances, show wallet activity, and handle refunds or support adjustments.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the app, provide AI golf concierge features, support Chip Live calls, manage accounts, validate purchases, display rounds and game activity, provide customer support, improve reliability, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, including cloud hosting, communications, AI processing, purchase validation, email, SMS, and support tooling. We may also share information when required by law or to protect users, the app, or our business.

Virtual Chips

Gold Chips and Platinum Chips are virtual consumable items. Gold Chips support non-cash score-game stakes and are not used for Chip Live. Platinum Chips support service features such as Chip Live, AI vision, and course calls, and can also support non-cash game stakes when a host enables them. Chips have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.
